Our Client are looking for an IT COO APAC or Business Manager to be based in Hong Kong but reporting to the Regional CIO and Head of Equities Technology and working closely with other IT business manager around the globe.
The Asia IT Chief Operating Officer's primary focus is to assist the CIO in managing the regional control functions. The role covers a broad set of strategic and tactical tasks, from the management and advancement of IT strategic initiatives to the operations of day-to-day activities.
Specific job functions include:
-Oversight of the IT Business Management team in providing support for budget and forecast, asset management, internal controls and headcount administration.
-Annual budgeting and monthly budgetary and business initiative reviews
-Vendor and Contract Management
-Project management for various departmental initiatives.
-Coordination of IT audits
-Facilitate the co-ordination of the IT Management Committee meetings and Operations Review.
-Management of IT functions in the branches.
-Oversight of the IT Communications team in defining the communications strategy for AsiaIT, including. Ensuring effective communication is in place across the department and for clients
-Logistics support for the department in activities such as space planning.
-Assisting in developing the IT organisation and working in partnership with HR to own and drive a people strategy and initiatives across the region.
To be successful in this position you will have a strong technology background, experience in an investment banking environment and you will have held a managerial role with P&L responsibility.
