Field Services Technician-Network Rollout

In Australia and New Zealand our hardware, software and services are used by many of Asia-Pacific biggest telecommunications carriers, including Telstra, Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA), Telecom New Zealand, AAPT, Optus and Telstra-Clear.
We anticipate that we will be in a position over the forthcoming quarter to hire a Telecommunications Implementation Technician.
Qualifications
The Main Responsibilities will include:
In order to keep the customer’s network running, the technician:
- Performs telecommunication infrastructure audits
- Installs standard hardware
- Upgrades customer networks on site or remotely
- Produces documentation and solves defined problems
- Logs and solves standard network problems at a control centre or regional office
Main activities of the technician include, as directed by the Regional Deployment Manager/ Regional Build lead/Site Controller:
- Performs site audits to validate high level design assumptions
- Installs standard hardware in a correct and timely manner and in line with standard procedures
- Maintains, installs, commissions, accepts and integrates customer networks on site according to the technical specification and/or protocols agreed with the customer
- Identifies installation problems of uncomplicated nature and solves these promptly and correctly and inform the customer
- Maintains and administers tools in accordance with prescribed work procedures
- Performs other tasks related to hardware service on customer networks as required in a correct and prompt fashion
- Produces documentation, such as test protocols, acceptance protocols etc, (before, during and after installation) to make it possible to follow documented notes of what actions have been done and when and by whom
- Measures the quality of the installation of the equipment so that the installation meets set quality standards
- Understands and implements RAN, RF and Transmission designs
- As there are no distinct borders between the areas technicians are expected to be flexible and master more than one area.
