The NOC transmission engineer is a team member responsible for assignment such as:
- 24/7/365 monitoring of all alarms generated by Ericsson MW nodes such (TN's, HC's, OMS, MRD's, MSR, AXX).
- Daily and monthly Report of active alarms& Follow up
- 1st&2nd line trouble shooting of generated alarms and problems.
- Reporting of all transmission problems and network performance.
- Faults escalation, follow up with field maintenance and ELS when needed.
- Coordination of Fault origins with other Vendors.
- Management Escalation and Updates of Major Network Problems through Front Office Surveillance.
- Monitoring and maintaining the DCN connectivity for Transmission Network.
- Creation and Configuration of network elements on SOM and ensure that all NE's should be visible through SOM.
- Provide support to Field Operations and Project team as required.
- Provide the necessary operation maintenance support such as software upgrading for operational software on Microwave equipments
- Keep & Provide the backup configuration for all live microwave nodes.
- Control and supervise the maintenance downtime MDT& TCN for all activities on live elements related to transmission and keep a copy of configuration backup before& after each activity.
- Control the access for all transmission network nodes.
